I love my bunnies and I love art, that is how Ben&Nevis BunArt was born!

I currently work part time as a sign language communication support worker, working with/interpreting for deaf students all over London; I have been in this line of work for about 8 years. During my time at this job I have also helped run animation workshops for children, this was great fun.

Recently I have decided to make more time to be creative. Drawing, painting and spending time with my bunnies makes me very happy and it is always good to do more of what makes you happy. I started Ben&Nevis BunArt because I really wanted to try and turn my hobby into something more, I have always loved art and photography and have now merged that with my other love, bunnies- with a few other animal friends joining in too!

Rabbits have been in the family since I was very young. But when Ben & Nevis, my lovely little Mini-Rex bunnies, came to live with me and my partner they really inspired my art in a new direction, some say I am a crazy bunny lady, I would say.. Yes, that sounds about right! I’m completely obsessed with them. I love to watch them on their little adventures and getting to know their individual characters is so much fun. This helped me to create the bunny characters in my paintings and imagine the fun things they would be getting up to. I like to use a variety of mediums, acrylics, oil paints, inks, pro-markers, pen and pencil sketches, but I have recently been using watercolours a lot more, I enjoy the way it flows and I find it relaxing.

Not only have Ben & Nevis inspired me with my art, they also help me when I am feeling sad, anxious or low; they never fail to make me smile with their cheeky little faces.
